We are looking for a graduate psychologist to join our specialist Community Head Injury Service which enjoys a national reputation for innovation and excellence.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to specialist assessments and rehabilitation programmes for persons with severe acquired brain injury. This includes neuropsychological assessment, developing outcome procedures and supporting the Neuropsychology Dept.

You would join our friendly specialist team, which includes clinical psychologists, clinical brain injury specialist, occupational therapists, physiotherapist, placement consultant and speech and language therapist.

The main responsibility for the Assistant Psychologist is to support the work of Clinical Psychologists in the Vocational Rehabilitation team, providing a specialist service to patients with acquired brain injuries who are looking to return to or find new employment.

Specifically, you will support and enhance the professional psychological care of patients within the service, providing neuropsychological

assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. You will be working independently according to a plan agreed with a Clinical Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures. You will also assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
