The post holder will be a member of the 0-19 public health team delivering the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme. Supported by the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN), the post holder will participate in delivering a universal core service, provide targeted interventions, to address health inequalities and where necessary referring to specialist services. This role will also include safeguarding responsibilities, mentorship of students and staff appraisals.

Are you a nurse who would like to work with children and families promoting health and wellness in the community setting? An excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse from a variety of backgrounds and experience has arisen to join our friendly Health Visiting team in Woking.
With guidance, training and support you will have the opportunity to deliver the Healthy Child Programme with the Health Visiting team, to develop skills in public health and multi-agency working to support the health needs of children and families. Whilst working within the Woking area you will be supported by our Health Visiting Team, Clinical Team Leader, Practice Assessor, Clinical Service Manager and Safeguarding Service.
Our 0-19 teams are innovative, enthusiastic and motivated to deliver the best healthy outcomes for children and families within Surrey. Excellent peer-based support and supervision will be given while you develop your knowledge, skills and competence. In addition, Children and Family Health Surrey are developing their Health Visiting and School Nursing workforce and a Band 5 position may be a gateway onto sponsorship for the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse course.

A Golden Hello payment of £2000 ( £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of a six month probation period) will be made, provided that the eligibility terms are met.
