G’Day London, Qantas is hiring Flight Attendants at Heathrow!

Qantas Cabin Crew UK (QCCUK) was established in 2005 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, representing Qantas Airways in the air and delivering best in class service and customer care, ensuring the safety of our customers whilst making them feel at home, even while they're thousands of feet in the air on the other side of the globe.

Our Cabin Crew are the face of Qantas – responsible for showcasing the flag carrier and taking what's best about Australia's lifestyle, landscapes and people, and sharing it with the rest of the world. At Qantas, we’re known for our absolute commitment to safety, alongside genuine and engaging service that feels premium.

Working as a Qantas UK Cabin Crew member presents some truly unique lifestyle opportunities. Since 2005, we have operated to destinations such as Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Dubai and various cities across Australia. Today, our Cabin Crew operate unique, ultra-long range flights on our A380-800 & B787-9 aircraft on daily flights to Australia & Singapore. Successful applicants will be based in London - perfect for exploring everything Europe has to offer, as well as carrying the Qantas Spirit of Australia overseas.

As a member of our Cabin Crew team, no two days are ever the same. The only guarantee is that you’ll explore what’s possible, be challenged, solve problems and make a difference. With a strong and resilient attitude, you’ll be surprised at what you’re able to achieve – and how you can play a key role in the experience our customers have come to expect from us.

In this role, you’ll be challenged to bring the spirit of Australia to our customers at 40,000 feet on ultra-long haul routes, whilst having plenty of fun, meeting amazing people and having experiences like no other.

Successful applicants will:

  • Take responsibility and have pride in delivering consistent and exceptional service, whilst following procedures and policies;
  • Understand our customers and demonstrate a clear passion for customer service;
  • Become trained and confident in aircraft safety procedures and first aid, passing all training and assessment requirements;
  • Easily build rapport and trust within a team and positively contribute to their performance on each and every flight;
  • Be adaptable to any situation that may present itself in a thoughtful, confident, yet safe way.
  • Understand and champion cultural diversity, as well as sensitivity towards customers who may need extra help;
  • Take a caring approach which reflects our premium brand, when delivering our famous on-board services; and
  • Understand the importance of cleanliness standards in-flight so all areas of the cabin are clean and fresh for our customers.

To be successful, you’ll also need to meet the following minimum criteria to operate within the unique aircraft environment:

  • Minimum 18 years of age;
  • Applications can only be considered for candidates who have the right to work in the United Kingdom without restriction or sponsorship;
  • Height between 163cm-186cm
  • Minimum reach of 212cm from the ground (fingertips must reach past 212cm, enabling overhead emergency equipment to be reached);
  • Minimum arm span of 127cm (knuckles must reach at least 127cm apart, replicating the holding of emergency aircraft exit door handles);
  • The ability to demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills to effectively follow or implement safety instructions;
  • Demonstrable customer service experience in a premium service environment; and
  • An excellent level of health and fitness, including the ability to swim 50 metres fully clothed and tread water for 3 minutes, unassisted. A water assessment will need to be completed prior to start of training.

Whilst our Flight Attendants certainly don’t work 9-5, these positions are based in London and you must be willing to live within easy reach, and work from, this location.

As part of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we value candidates from diverse backgrounds adding rich, multi-cultural experience to our inclusive workplace.
