We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and creative person to join our team as a Visitor Experience Officer, helping us deliver events that inspire and engage – and which are fun! If you love working with all kinds of people, young people and children, and you’re excited by the Trust’s cause – to protect and care for places so that people and nature can thrive – then this could be the job for you.


Interviews will be held on the 6th and 7th of June.



The salary for this role is £23,868 - £24,843,

plus an outer London weighting allowance of

£3,315 per annum.

Reporting directly to the Visitor Experience Manager, you’ll be part of a small but friendly, close-knit, and passionate team who create opportunities for the public to connect with the beauty, nature, and history of this remarkable place.

Typically, your working hours will be 9am-5pm, with occasional earlier or later shifts, as required. As part of your role, you’ll take turns as Duty Manager on a rotational basis, which may include working on weekends and bank holidays. Time off in Lieu (TOIL) will be provided for any additional hours worked.

What you'll be doing

As Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll be welcoming people and encouraging them to really get to know Morden Hall Park and benefit from it. This includes developing and delivering impactful, inclusive and high-quality public events for people of all ages and backgrounds to time and budget, supporting fundraising activities and other meaningful experiences that bring the place, and its stories, to life for everyone who comes here.

Our year-round programme includes a wide range of events and activities including workshops, walks, outdoor theatre and of course Easter and Christmas activities for all the family.

You’ll collaborate with the marketing team helping to promote the events programme; supervise and support a committed team of event volunteers, and manage event partners, artists, contractors, and external facilitators as required.

  • skilled in organisation and planning, with a good eye for detail
  • strong communication skillsa hard-working and committed team player
  • comfortable with IT: Microsoft Office, as well as web and social media
  • experienced in producing interpretive materials, such as displays and exhibitions, and marketing or promotional materials
  • familiar with health and safety procedures
