About the Department Administrator role
:

From dealing with databases to supporting school and online events, no two days are the same in this role. Our Learning & Engagement department is a busy and bustling area covering things from varied programmes to in person late night events. They work across multiple sites and engage directly with our diverse audience and this position puts you right in the middle of it helping to support at all levels departmentally.


As a Department Administrator at National Museums Scotland you will
:

  • Administration of digital information including updating webpages, administering electronic systems, maintenance of subscriptions on relevant systems, administering digital schools sessions via video platforms and administering online events
  • Collate department information for reporting purposes such as KPI database, carbon capture, schools database, keeping accurate records and liaising with colleagues across the department when information is required
  • Manage the administration of the department databases including use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and support key deadlines across the department.


Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Department Administrator
:

  • Experience in a role involving a range of administrative tasks
  • Experience in using a CRM system
  • Excellent ICT skills in MS Office, Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, and databases
