An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the well-established nursing team within the Endoscopy Unit at Ninewells Hospital.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the well-established nursing team within the Endoscopy Unit at Ninewells Hospital. This busy department provides a seven-day service providing diagnostic and therapeutic services for a variety of investigations including Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Gastroscopy, Urology, Bronchoscopy, EUS and ERCP for both out-patients and in-patients.
We are looking for an individual who will enjoy working in a challenging environment. A large part of the Healthcare Support Worker roles involves the decontamination of endoscopes. Previous experience in this type of work would be an advantage.
There may be a requirement to travel and work at Perth Royal Infirmary Endoscopy Unit.
We want our Endoscopy Units to be places where patients come first, therefore we require an individual who will work as part of the Unit team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective care for patients.
We will provide a tailored induction and development programme.

Hours of work are: 23.2 hours per week
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
