Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.
The Opportunity
Child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) is a global problem that requires a global response. However, the lack of reliable and comprehensive data relating to CSEA is a major inhibitor to developing more effective and evidence driven prevention and response strategies and policies. Childlight, has been established, and embedded within the University of Edinburgh, and will take a data driven, evidence-based approach to better understand the prevalence and nature of CSEA globally. This data and analysis will be used by policy makers and practitioners across the world to make better informed decisions to safeguard children from CSEA.
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level professional, administrative support to the Office Manager, the Director of Data and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) ensuring that their time and schedules are managed effectively and assisting with managing queries from internal and external sources in a timely and appropriate fashion. You will also provide administrative support to the wider team with activities including recording of notes/minutes, developing agendas, arranging staff travel and accommodation, as well as liaising with internal UoE teams including facilities and IT to ensure smooth running of the office.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Excellent administration skills including relevant IT skills and experience in preparing minutes and reports.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including being courteous and friendly in dealing with all internal and external partners.
Experience of providing support to senior-level staff (including diary management and co-ordinating travel) and committees (Desirable).
Flexible approach with excellent organisational and time management skills, with an eye for detail.
Ability to work well as team member whilst under pressure.
