Provide leadership and motivation which is conducive to good staff relations and effective work.
As a Care Supervisor you are responsible to work alongside your Area Manager and the team to ensure the safe and effective provision of care to all of our service users. You will be the direct point of contact for your colleagues regarding the service users that are in your area. As a Care Supervisor you will report directly to your Area Manager.
MAIN DUTIES
COMMUNITY:
- Will be responsible for completing shadowing with new staff and completing relevant paperwork.
- Monitor and complete 6 and 12 weekly reports regarding performance of new staff members
- and ensure paperwork is uploaded and accurate.
- Be accountable for the quality and maintenance of Client Care folders on a monthly basis. Returning Daily record sheets to office. Ensuring that all personal details are up-to-date and folders are off a high standard.
- Work alongside the Area Manager to complete client monitoring visits and client reviews.
- Work alongside the Area Manager to complete regular spot checks with frontline staff.
- Ensure new client's folders are placed in clients home within 24 hours at POC starting.
- Ensure weekly delivery of PPE to all ground staff.
- Participate in emergency cover when required.
- To provide direction, guidance and support to care staff
- Support in the audits of all processes to ensure high quality care
- Ensure that accurate and concise records are maintained at all times including client assessments and
- staff compliance for example mandatory training records
- Provide leadership and motivation which is conducive to good staff relations and effective work
- performance.
- Manage, develop and support staff, individually and as a team, including induction, probation,
- supervisory support and training, including supervisory staff
- Report immediately to the
- Area Manager any incidents of poor practice or any matters that are prejudicial
- to the welfare of the service user.
- To provide emergency adhoc cover, ensuring all care hours are delivered, review why emergency cover had to be delivered and explore proactive plans
- To cover on-call in absence of manager
- To support at the weekend in emergency situations
- Engage in business contingency as required by the business, review reasons and work with the
- manager to provide proactive plan
OFFICE:
To participate in the on-call phone on alternative weekends.
To participate on updating the QP platform with any changes to rostering when it's your working weekend.
Completion of weekend handover required.
To work with your Area Manager on rostering if staff shortages/sickness
To report/complete any paperwork for any issues/concerns from staff/clients
directly to your Area Manager.
Communicate/report to Care Managers/Social Workers when required.
To participate in further training to develop your skills within your role.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 1 years care experience
Must be a driver with access to own car
Must be Fully Flexible regarding
working hours.
Desirable Criteria
NVQ Level 2/3 desirable. Must be willing to work towards level 3.
Currently NISCC registered
