Clinical Psychologist

Wiltshire

Part-time, 3 days a week

£40,200 actual salary for 39 weeks per year.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team, working across four residential homes in Wiltshire. You will be responsible for delivering specialised psychological services, focusing on various levels of intervention to support the children and young people in our care. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping the therapeutic environment and enhancing the quality of care provided by our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialised psychological interventions to children and young people, addressing their specific emotional and psychological needs.

Engage with children, young people, and staff to foster constructive and supportive relationships, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Offer support, guidance, and knowledge to staff members, helping them develop therapeutically informed relationships with young people. Assist in creating and implementing effective behaviour management and care plan strategies.

Provide highly specialist psychological consultation to staff teams to enhance their understanding of the psychological and emotional well-being of the children and young people in our care.

Support staff through regular psychological consultations and supervision, helping them to improve their practice and approach.

Collaborate and liaise with Social Services, CAMHS, schools, child protection teams, general practitioners, and other relevant NHS services to ensure comprehensive support for the children and young people.

Conduct thorough psychological assessments, utilizing psychometric tests and neuro-psychological tools where necessary, and produce detailed reports.

Utilise a range of psychological tools and measures for assessments and reports to ensure accurate and effective understanding of each child's needs.Qualifications and Experience:

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and registered with the HCPC

Experience working with children and young people in residential or similar settings.

Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and psychological interventions.
