At Willowbrook Hospice, we are always interested in meeting nurses who would like to come and work for us on a permanent basis for our Inpatient Unit on a full internal rotation, delivering skilled and compassionate care to our patients and their families

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of specialist palliative care support and advice to patients. You should possess good communication skills, excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit.

To maintain confidentiality in respect of information concerning patients and their relatives at all times.

To effectively assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for each allocated patient as determined by the nurse-in-charge.

To ensure effective communications with the Medical Team and other health care professionals when providing individualised nursing care.

To ensure effective communications with the Clinical Director

To set the highest possible standards of care considering the holistic needs of the patient and his/her family/carer.

To develop specialist knowledge to provide advice and counselling skills to patients and carers on the holistic needs which arise with terminal illness.
