The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Sports, Public Services & Care Professions Department as a Heath & Social Care Teacher on a fixed term (maternity cover), full time (35 hours per week) basis.
As a Health & Social Teacher you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality, and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead, and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice, and quality targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate of education or PGCE
- Current and valid industry specialism
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
- Have experience in Health and Social Care and teaching in FE
