About The RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and efficient clerk, who will work closely with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher and other governors. This is part-time role, 2.5 hours per week or 10 hours per month. However, due to the nature of the role and variation in length of meetings throughout the year, the hours per week shown are indicative of a likely weekly average.
The role would involve:
- Prepare agendas and papers and take and produce accurate minutes for 6 Full Governing Board meetings a year and required to clerk at sub-committee meetings during the day. Our Full Governance Board meetings are currently held on Mondays at 4pm.
- Communicating effectively to all governors.
- Attendance at the Governor Services Clerk briefings.
- Working with appropriate confidentiality.

Holy Trinity Primary S chool will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
