Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated paediatric research nurse to join our dynamic team of Clinical Research Nurses within our Paediatric Intensive Care research team. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is willing to lead and support the delivery of high-quality clinical research.

As one of the Band 7 research nurses based in the Research and Innovation directorate you will lead and coordinate the delivery of a research portfolio. Working clinically with the team you will promote high standards of both patient care and clinical research practice. You will collaborate with the Practice Educator to facilitate appropriate educational and training opportunities. This unique post combines managerial responsibilities with the opportunity to further develop your knowledge of leadership skills, the clinical research process, and specialist clinical knowledge.

Our Clinical Research facility provides a high quality, clinical environment, in which children and young people can take part in research programmes safely and effectively, according to robust and ethically approved protocols.

Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated experienced Intensive Care Nurse. You must have effective leadership and organisational skills and be looking for a new and exciting challenge. You should demonstrate the ability to manage own workload and to work as part of a team. This post offers excellent opportunities in gaining research experience with flexible working hours with the opportunity to maintain your clinical skills, while being supported by an experienced team of research nurses.
