As a full time Healthcare Support Worker on our 26 bedded Midgley Ward which specialises in Respiratory and Acute Medicine you will provide high standards of care to our patients while working both independently and as part of a team, prioritising your workload to ensure quality care and demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach.The ideal candidate will have some care experience and will be able to work night shifts. We offer a period of supernumerary time to support you into your role, and further learning and development are encouraged.
- We are looking for a caring and compassionate person who is able to work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of individualised nursing care to our patients.
- You will need excellent communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team, prioritising your workload to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- You will ensure that your own actions support the care, protection and well-being of individuals, and ensure their privacy and dignity at all times.
- Duties include monitoring and recording of vital signs, escorting patients off the ward for investigations/scans, assisting with personal care and nutritional support.
- You will need to be flexible as this post includes days, nights and weekend working.
