DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Professional

  • Take individual responsibility for the nursing care of a group of patients as a registered nurse.
  • To welcome patients to the unit.
  • Perform procedures required of the role and be prepared to learn new skills relevant to the role including therapeutic apheresis.
  • To participate in rotation to TYA day unit and apheresis as required

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • The staff nurse is responsible for their own personal development and maintaining a personal development plan
  • To complete the Ward introductory pack and preceptor pack

  • RGN level 1

Desirable criteria

  • BSc Post qualification Haematology or oncology modules

EXPERIENCE



Essential criteria

  • Prior nursing experience Interest in caring for oncology/haematology patients

  • Prior nursing experience Interest in caring for oncology/haematology patients

SKILLS

  • Computer literate
