An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Local Division to manage Rathbone Rehabilitation unit , which is a 25 bedded long stay mental health ward for adults of working age . The ward provides mixed sex communal areas with single sex accommodation. The ward promotes social reintegration and recovery for those with severe and enduring mental illness.
Candidates need to have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills that will enable them to challenge, motivate, influence and inspire their colleagues at all levels, and have an understanding of leading and managing an inpatient ward.

The post holder will carry managerial responsibility over a 24 hour period. They will be responsible for the performance and delivery of high quality, evidenced based and person centred care. The post holder will operate as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team but be expected to be flexible in terms of delivering care within the ward setting.
The post order must be an influential positive leader that will promote a least restrictive environment with the use of de-escalation and therapeutic engagement.
