An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, dynamic, hardworking nurse to join our Leadership team within Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
We are looking for a forward thinking, enthusiastic, dynamic staff member to take on the role of Ward Sister / Charge Nurse on the newly created trauma orthopaedic ward, which will provide orthopaedic care for patients who have sustained orthopaedic injuries requiring both surgical and conservative management. This will increase our current orthopaedic bed base by 24 beds and will be a second trauma orthopaedic ward.
The suitable candidate should have good leadership and communication skills to assist the team in providing outstanding care for all patients. They should be confident, supportive and passionate about patient care.
The applicant will be required to work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to promote and monitor safe, effective practice through the CARE values and the strategic priorities. They will be responsible for maintaining safe staffing levels.
You will be able expected to support and implement changes to clinical practice as required. You will be required to encourage professional development within the team, perform audits and manage and mitigate your own budget.
