St. David’s CIW Primary School is situated approximately four miles from Cowbridge and four miles from Bridgend. St David’s was initially built in 1970 to amalgamate the three existing, small parish schools. In 2021, due to increasing demand for places, the original building was replaced with a new 21st Century School. This two-storey development consists of top class facilities and ultra-modern learning environments. Within the grounds, are external hard and soft surface play areas, an orchard, wild flowers and the existing conservation area. State-of-the-art photovoltaic panels make it one of the first schools to focus on low carbon energy use. We welcome parents, carers, families and people from the local community and parish to become involved in school life and support the pupils. The school provides education for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11. Colwinston Childcare provides a wraparound care service to our nursery pupils.

Pay Details: Person in Charge, Grade 6, points 14-19
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year – 11.30am-3.30pm

We are looking to appoint a Childcare Manager, with at least 2 years sessional day care experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our nursery wraparound provision. In return we offer the opportunity to play a key role in our warm, welcoming and supportive school family.
