We are actively seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Children Advisor for our London Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and All Age Eating Disorder (ED) Services. The post holder will have responsibility to ensure high quality safeguarding children practice is delivered across these services. This is an exciting role, working alongside CAMHS and ED and the CNWL Safeguarding Team who deliver our Safeguarding Children agenda across the Trust.
We currently deliver CAMHS and ED services across Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster. These areas include a range of settings that include core CAMHS, inpatients, schools and urgent care services.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

You will be responsible for providing expert safeguarding children leadership to our London CAMHS and ED services. You will need to be able to provide professional advice, safeguarding children supervision, education and training to all staff within our CAMHS and ED services. You will be required to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies to support the safeguarding children agenda.
You will also be required to support other Trust services for advice and training when required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. This post is open to anyone with a Nurse and / or Social Work qualification with the right attribute to enhance a team, which provides CAMHS and ED services across a large diverse Trust.
If you are someone with a passion for ensuring the safeguarding needs of all children and young people in mental health services, this could be the job for you. You will be well supported within the CAMHS service as well as benefitting from a wider safeguarding children team within the Trust.
