Job summaryBeckett Place is a 10 bedded female step-down rehabilitation service based in Ashton under Lynne. The service users within our service have been diagnosed with a serious and enduring mental illness. The goal of admission to our service is to assist service users to engage in a programme of care to help them to gain and maintain skills to enable them to eventually live a more independent life in the community.
Beckett Place is a very rewarding place to work as the team get to experience the recovery journey with our service users which equips them with skills to manage their illness and improve their quality of life.
Main duties of the jobTo assist the registered nursing staff with the care of service users on the ward. This includes assisting with personal care, room care and laundry. Supporting to cook. Escorting service users to the community for social inclusion which can include shopping, cinema trips, for walking etc
To supervise at mealtimes - serving meals to service users, monitoring dietary and fluid intake.
To report any concerns to the registered staff.
To be involved in patient observation.
