Job Summary


You will join the Hospital Services Filton team as a Supervisor. We provide hospitals and patients with, blood, blood components, and tissues. The Hospital Services Team provide cover 24/7, 365 days.


Main duties of the job


  • You will be required to perform a number of scientific / technical tasks in validation, storage, issue and distribution of blood, blood components and tissues
  • You will provide expert advice and guidance to employees working within their own and other departments but also out of hour to employees on other sites
  • You may be required to supervise a team or work alone out of core hours
  • You will provide day to day supervision of staff
  • In this role you will undertake a structured programme of learning, development and assessment
  • Working out of core hours, please see attached shift rotation


About You



Experience and Knowledge


  • Experience of supervising work or conduct of others
  • Experience of working with Information Technology such as Microsoft Office


Qualifications And Training


  • Degree in an appropriate subject OR Relevant higher education qualification and experience e.g. Foundation degree, HND, HNC BTech Certificate plus relevant experience OR Extensive experience and expertise supervising staff and workload within a complex warehousing or logistics operation
  • Demonstrates commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD)
