Key Responsibilities:
You will contribute to a department that handles 16,500 histology and 1,100 non-gynaecological specimens annually, along with performing 250 post-mortems.
Our department operates with a focus on subspecialist reporting, while non-specialist cases are shared among the team.Workload is carefully managed through the Royal College workload scoring system, ensuring a balanced and safe environment.As a valued member of our team, you'll benefit from daily case discussions and a collaborative approach to complex cases.Opportunities for specialisation and career development will be discussed.
Teaching & Training:
You will have the opportunity to mentor one Specialty Trainee, fostering the next generation of experts.
Post-Mortem Opportunities:
Autopsies are performed for HM Coroner and as part of consent procedures. However, we also welcome applications from candidates who prefer not to perform post-mortems.
