We are seeking an additional highly motivated and talented MR radiographer
to join the imaging team at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR). We are looking for someone who will enjoy working in a cutting-edge clinical research environment performing advanced MRI research techniques (cardiac, liver and neuro), and actively participate for the clinical cardiac MR service as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, radiographers, nurses and physicists. You will primarily assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, effective and flexible MR scanning service for the cardiovascular, liver and neuro-imaging research protocols within OCMR. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of imaging and patient care; assist in protocol development and set up (both hardware and software aspects) and help provide training and supervision of the imaging aspects of the unit. You will work with and be supported by the lead radiographer and the imaging team.
To work effectively as part of the MRI team, providing a comprehensive and diagnostic imaging service, carrying out specific responsibilities commensurate with the grade. To independently assess each patient and adapt techniques according to the needs of the patient. To contribute to the working environment in which patients can obtain optimum care. Receiving visitors/patients/volunteers to OCMR ensuring safety requirements are met. To be responsible in the use of expensive diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure that the patient, carers, relatives and operator remain safe from the physical hazards and those associated with a high field strength magnet.
