To be a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) working in partnership with the Matron to manage and provide leadership to the nursing team, in the provision of effective clinical and operational leadership across the ED.
To work collaboratively with the Lead Clinician and ED Manager, as well as the wider ED Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), to continuously improve and develop the ED.
The Senior Sister / Charge Nurse takes overall responsibility and is accountable for all delegated nursing care within the clinical environment.
Providing nursing leadership and accountability for patient, public and staff experience in the department.
Leading and offering expert clinical advice and manage services to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
This will be in line with Local, Trust wide and National Policies, Procedures, Values and Behaviours and is essential that candidate can provide both clinical care to patients.
