Role Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide care and support to an individual with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to a 21 y/o male
- Assist with personal care
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Support individual in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in condition
Qualifications
- Previous experience in homecare
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Basic Life Support and Manual Handling certification
- PMVA or CPI trained
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
