Reporting To: Group Health and Safety Manager & Group Quality Manager
Working Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Location: ST15 0QN with regular travel to client sites across the UK
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Responsibilities
Report directly to the QHSE Managers in order to maintain a safe working environment across the Orbital business, providing support and guidance as necessary.
Work with production, project and site teams to ensure a safe working environment, overseeing activities where required.
Support the QHSE Managers to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed, monitored and embedded into all business activities.
Assist in QHSE audits in accordance with the Company Audit and Inspection plans, designed to measure the level of compliance with both legislative and Company requirements.
Assist with ensuring that all findings from audits and inspections are communicated, actioned and closed to the required level, i.e. by updating Company procedures, providing direct feedback to the functional Director/Manager, toolbox talks/staff briefings etc.
Work as part of the We Care team to increase awareness of health and safety issues across the company and encourage staff engagement.
Collate facility and site statistics for inclusion in monthly QHSE reports.
Assist in investigating accidents, incidents and producing reports.
Support the project teams by assisting with the production of documentation to ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2. Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
Promote Hazard Observation reporting
Requirements
Computer Literate. Must be MS Office proficient
Experience of compiling reports and converting to visual data.
Experience of working in a Production/Operations/Construction environment.
Excellent communication skills
Multi-tasker and self-motivated
Train the Trainer/presentation skills
Auditor qualification (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 450
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
Sound working Knowledge of CDM 2Regulations
Driving licence - willing to travel to site locations across the UK
