The Exciting Role

Lancashire Adult Learning are looking for a talented and student focused Community Teacher - Employability & Skills to join their enthusiastic team on a fixed-term basis working 35 hours per week until August 2025. The start date for the role is 27 August 2024.
The successful candidate will deliver inspiring and exciting adult programmes in the community which will include Pre-Employment programmes for Foundation Economy role across a range of sectors, including but not limited to: Business, Customer Service, Retail, Hospitality and Leisure. They will focus on embracing the College ethos that every learner can achieve their full potential and positively represent the college both internally and externally, at all times.
This role will be based at our Lancashire Adult Learning site, however, travel across Lancashire will be required.


What You Will Be Doing:

• Teach on a range of programmes delivering effective learning
• Plan and prepare high quality teaching and learning
• Develop and share resources with the team
• Prepare learners for accreditation, where appropriate
• Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
• Ensure provision is aligned with best practice in community learning


What We Are Looking For:

• Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
• Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area
• Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully
• Demonstrate a learner centred approach to teaching and learning
• Recognised teaching qualification
• A higher degree or advanced qualification
