To carry out a flexible patient centred programme of therapeutic activities under the direction of a Physiotherapist
To enable patients to achieve their treatment goals
To keep accurate written records and statistics as required by the service
To assist in departmental administration
To assist in the organisation and running of the MSK hydrotherapy sessions
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to join our friendly and supportive outpatient Physiotherapy service. We have two part time posts available, one based at Leigh Health Centre and one at Boston House, Frog Lane, Wigan. Both posts will be expected to cover hydrotherapy sessions at Platt Bridge Health Centre on a weekly basis.
Duties are varied (both clinical and non-clinical) and the successful applicants will be involved directly in the assessment, care and treatment of patients with a variety of conditions, under the supervision of qualified therapists.
A caring and considerate manner is essential to the post. We would expect the candidates to have a good level of general education, basic computer literacy and knowledge of Physiotherapy interventions. Previous experience of working in a relevant health related area would be essential.

To contribute to the overall Physiotherapy process by carrying out a basic review of patients and conduct procedures within agreed competency levels
To carry out information collection from patients/relatives as requested by Physiotherapy staff
To follow treatment plans as prescribed by Physiotherapy staff and identify and select activities that meet treatment goals
To work independently in a clinical setting with an assigned routine caseload, under the direction of a Physiotherapist
Instruct patients in the use of equipment and techniques to promote independence
Assisting poolside during hydrotherapy sessions
