Wellbeing Worker 60+ Service

35 hours per week

12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Queens Cross offers more than excellent housing. Our Wellbeing Services deliver a wide range of support. We have an opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking Wellbeing Worker to join our Wellbeing 60+ team.

This is a 12-month temporary contract (35 hours, job share considered) from 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday, working on a rotational basis Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am – 12:00pm.


Job Purpose


You will support the Wellbeing Manager in the delivery of an excellent service that is customer focused, compliant and sustains high levels of quality in a right first-time culture.

Queens Cross Wellbeing Service aims to support people 60+ so that they can live independently and maintain successful tenancies. We also strive to be active partners in promoting the health and wellbeing of our tenants.

The role of the Wellbeing worker is to work with colleagues within the Associations wellbeing services and across the Association. This also includes close working with partner agencies to provide an enhanced housing management service to people 60+, supporting them to maintain successful tenancies and to live independently by encouraging their engagement in the community.

Through regular contact with tenants who are 60+ you will be expected to identify when tenants are struggling due to a deterioration in their health and wellbeing and providing advice to signpost tenants to the relevant agencies and services to provide support.

The Wellbeing worker can also assist the Wellbeing service for Good Mental Health to deliver housing support or care at home tasks in the community to people living in their own homes.

To Be Successful, You Will


  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of delivering service to vulnerable individuals this can be through paid work or volunteering experience.
  • Hold a SVQ 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Clear understanding of the issues affecting older people to remain independent in the community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with all customers in a calm and professional manner.
