We are looking for a Motivated and Friendly person to provide a first class nursing service to practice patients, working closely with healthcare colleagues and in collaboration with the GPs.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities:

  • Practice independently in accordance with RCN code of conduct and with reference to practice guidelines, referring appropriately to GPs
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care
  • Ensure continuation of own personal and professional development
  • Undertake patient nursing services including:
    • Chronic disease monitoring consultations
    • Wound treatments, applying and removing dressings and sutures
    • Administering immunisations and vaccinations including children immunisations
    • Providing advice re contraception including contraceptive medication
    • Providing patient health education and advice, including travel advice
    • Taking patient samples, swabs and specimens, checking temperatures and blood pressures
    • Carrying out physical examinations, investigatory procedures and cervical smears
