Through advancement & progression of our current staff an opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Lytham Community Nursing team.

As a community nurse you will gain a unique set of skills. As a team we will support you to gain these skills by providing the appropriate training.
We Will Also Provide The Following To Ensure Your Transition To a New Area / Team Is As Smooth As Possible By
Robust induction period
Buddy/Mentor
Preceptorship programme
Protected supernumerary time
Clinical 1 to 1 and supervision sessions with Clinical Supervisor
In House and external training provision
Professional Nurse Advocate Support as required
The main duties of the role are to provide holistic, patient centred, evidence based care to individuals in their own home setting. T
This Will Include
Administration of medications
Palliative care and assessment of needs
Cross-prescribing
Syringe driver management and symptom management
PICC/Hickmann Line care
PEG care
Wound care
Drain management
Venous & arterial leg ulcer care including doppler and compression
Catheter & nephrostomy care
Holistic assessments and risk bundles
Observations
Venepuncture
