The Urology department is delighted to offer an appointment for a urological surgeon with an interest in renal and upper tract cancer surgery. We have developed a regional centre of cancer care, serving a large population. Our robotic service is well established since 2and provides pelvic and upper tract cancer and benign complex surgery. Currently we provide a high volume robotic partial nephrectomy service and therefore wish to expand the department. We are extremely fortunate to have both vascular and renal dialysis units on-site at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, where the Da Vinci X robot is based.

The successful candidate will join a young team of consultants. Previous evidence of experience in laparoscopic or robotic upper tract surgery is essential, however we are keen to develop our team and support expansion of the service. We promote participation in clinical trials and will support a colleague interested in education. The consultant on-call rota is 1 in 11 with full middle grade cover 24-7.
