The IKEA Food team are looking to welcome Food & Beverage assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team, where you will play a big part in our multi-skilled team.

We are looking for people who will help turn IKEA into a community hub creating an inviting and inclusive space that can be a place to have a coffee and catch up with friends to somewhere to take the family out for a meal for a special occasion and everything in between.

We are looking to expand the profile of IKEA Food in the local area, we want to become known for our excellent customer service and our wide range of food to suit all tastes.

Prior experience in food is desirable, but not essential if you have a roll up your sleeve mindset to the various tasks & challenges that present themselves.

Expected Starting Date: 6th July 2024

WHAT WE OFFER
• £12 per hour
• Living Wage Foundation Employer

• Various contract sizes available from 12-30 hours per week, working 3-5 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends. We are open to discussing working patterns.

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, and your availability will be discussed as part of your interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Are you a team player with a passion for food and people? Do you know your meat ball from your plant ball? If so, then we are looking for you.

This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.

We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Food Co-worker, you will report to one of the Food Managers or Team Leaders and work alongside them in the various areas in the department to help create a safe, healthy, delicious, sustainable, affordable, and joyful food experience for both the customer and the Co-worker.

• Cleaning your working area and any appliances used
• Serving our delicious Food to our customers
• Clearing tables & ensuring all equipment is clean & ready to be re-used
• Helping the rest of the team with daily tasks
• Working in a fast paced environment
