Job Overview


We are looking to appoint a Sister or Charge Nurse to work alongside the team . You will need strong interpersonal skills and a keen interest in caring for elderly patients and promoting independence and confidence to support patients to go home.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as you will be leading liaison with patients and their relatives.

You should be a registered nurse, experienced in the care of elderly patients on both days and nights. Previous experience of working within a medical area is essential

Main duties of the job

As a sister you will take charge of the shift and work closely with the Ward manager and medical staff to plan and manage patient care and discharge planning.

You will work with the multidisciplinary team , including the therapists , Consultant geriatrician and community services to enable a safe and timely discharge back into the community with further support if needed.
