The Duties As The Receptionist Are



Receptionist Duties


  • Warmly welcome visitors and clients as they arrive.
  • Provide directions or information as needed.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls.
  • Take and relay messages accurately.
  • Handle inquiries and provide information over the phone.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients and visitors.
  • Maintain an organised appointment calendar.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
  • Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages.
  • Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Assist with data entry and maintaining databases.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints.
  • Provide accurate information about the organisation's services and policies.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Arrange magazines, brochures, and other promotional materials.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
  • Issue visitor badges and maintain visitor logs.
