An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly paediatric ward team.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant on Bluefin Ward Worthing Hospital and are offering part-time hours.
We have 21 beds within our general Paediatric Ward taking patients from 0-18 years. The ward cares for patients with a range of medical, surgical, orthopaedic and oncology conditions and includes an High dependency area and CYPDU (Children and Young Person's Day Unit)
The successful candidate will be required to work 23 hours per week (11.5 hour shifts working 7 days a week covering both day and night duties) There will also be opportunities for bank work to cover sickness and annual leave.
Previous experience in working with Children is desirable.Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and a child friendly approach are essential.

The successful applicant will support the ward team in the fast paced, smooth running of the ward and will have excellent information technology skills and experience of IT systems.
Your role will include providing support to children and their families under supervision of the registered nursing team.
Previous experience in working with Children is desirable.Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and a child friendly approach are essential.
