Following the recent decision to house the Polytrauma Unit within Ward 217 Surgical High Dependency Unit (SHDU) an exciting opportunity has opened up for a highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurses to become part of the team.
We are a busy 18 bedded unit caring for Level 2 patients, inclusive of all surgical specialties and polytrauma. It is a fast paced environment which is constantly changing and developing.
Successful applicants should have a genuine interest in Surgical HDU and polytrauma nursing. Experience with infusion devices, invasive lines and monitoring patients in an acute setting would be beneficial. Being able to manage and prioritise their own workload and work well within a team is essential.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, be able to motivate themselves and others.
The post involves day and night rotation working a 12 hour shift pattern and part-time hours would be considered. Current UK NMC registration is essential.
Valuable training opportunities will be available to advance critical care knowledge and skill.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
