Job Summary
In this role you will actively contribute to the work of the H&S department, whilst also being offered the chance to expand your personal knowledge and skills in the food manufacturing sector through learning and development.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Assist and support the H&S team in their daily responsibilities
• Monitoring all safety occurrences and prepare monthly statistical reports
• Assist with tasks such as site auditing, producing tool box talks, reviewing and preparation of risk assessments and work instructions
• Conduct basic checks on safety related equipment, e.g., fire extinguishers, ladders.
• Work proactively to develop their skills and experience in the food manufacturing environment
• Look for new and innovative ways of working which lead to improved H&S performance and ensure compliance with statutory legislation
• Assisting in the preparation of project H&S plans as required
• Assisting in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and non-conformances and making recommendations for corrective action
