About The Role


We are seeking a Part-time Secretary to join our team at a small, independent firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors based in the City of London. This role is essential in maintaining our efficient office operations and providing top-notch support to our partners and clients. This is a part-time position, working 7 hours per day, 3 days per week, ideally Monday to Thursday.


Key Responsibilities


  • Reception duties: answering calls, arranging meetings, and welcoming clients
  • Managing and archiving office paperwork, including coordinating document destruction
  • Assisting partners with word processing, including audio typing and maintaining databases
  • Handling money laundering checks and client confirmation statements
  • Preparing fee notes and assisting with basic bookkeeping using Excel
  • Maintaining office supplies and performing minor IT tasks


The Ideal Secretary:


  • Fast and accurate audio typing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Previous experience in administrative/secretarial support roles
  • Logical mind and good problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
