The MTW Psychological Staff Support Team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated psychological therapist who is committed to providing evidence-based interventions for MTW employees accessing the Staff Support service. We welcome applications from those who have interest and experience working within staff support in an Acute Hospital setting.

The post-holder will work within the Psychological Staff Support team to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based treatments for staff members experiencing depression and/or anxiety or other common mental health problems arising from, and impacting, their role within the Trust.

An understanding of work-related stressors and the wider psychological support offers across Kent and Medway, along with experience of the issues that present to Occupational Health, Organizational Development and Employee Relations processes would be an advantage.

The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous professional within registration body guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor.

  • To provide high Psychological / high intensity CBT services to adults with moderate to acute mental health problem
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure
  • To deliver direct and indirect staff support interventions in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • To promote wellbeing and social inclusion
  • To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands. This may include occasional, planned out of hours drop ins or clinics to accommodate the needs of the Hospital staff and intermittently driving to various satellite sites where other community services may be based
