The post holder will undertake general office duties including typing of medical and other correspondence.
Experienced, highly motivated Medical Secretary / Project Administrator to support the Team Manager and Multi-Disciplinary Team working on an innovative pathway with patients in the Stockport borough. The post holder must be reliable, flexible and have a sensitivity to people with physical and mental health problems. Whilst the service delivery is in Stockport, the admin team are based in Oldham. The post holder will be expected to travel to Stockport one day per week as part of the role to attend team meetings and will be supported with travel time and expenses to attend.
This role will offer secretarial and line management to our small admin team, to enable a comprehensive secretarial service to the clinical team and to support the ongoing development of the service as a whole.

They will be responsible for the management of administrative duties within their area of work . They will offer managerial supervision to the members of the administrative team. Travelling from the base in Oldham to Stockport would be required for one day each week to support and meet the clinical team in their clinical and business meetings.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable, with great communication skills , who can promote change and efficiency. As well as being a helpful team player, they will need to work autonomously and promote a flexible working approach. The postholder will prioritise workload, and delegate work to the administrative team.
- To provide a comprehensive personal secretarial service to the Multidisciplinary team for the Psychological Medicines Service Stockport.
- To provide support and managerial supervision to the members of the administrative team during day to day work.
- To also support the clinical team in the Stockport Borough in relation to managing the administrative duties for the team and being present for the Thursday clinical meeting and Business meeting.
Psychological Medicine services offer a specialist intervention for people with long term physical health concerns and atypical healthcare utilisation. We have a number of services across the trust which form a network of support for each other, and aim to support with development and training of staff in our teams for working in this specialist area.
