About the role and practice


A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Dental Nurse to work in our 8-surgery, award-winning, multi-disciplinary high-end practice in Derby.


No previous dental experience is needed for this role.

  • Full-time 38.75 hours per week, working 5 days
  • Training supported by our highly experienced team - your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by PortmanDentex
  • Include Parking if available

Modern and contemporary dental surgery located in Derby, Derbyshire, offering state of the art cosmetic dentistry, specialist dentistry, and dental implant services in the Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Stafford and the East Midlands area.


About You

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the course
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
  • Happy to be a key player in the team providing chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
  • Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures
