Parkfield Medical Centre is a friendly and forward-thinking practice in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire and we currently require a salaried GP to join our team for 4 sessions a week. These must be to cover Monday afternoons and Fridays, morning and afternoon sessions.

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Teamwork is an essential part of the role, working as part of our senior clinical team to provide quality care to our patients as well as supporting the wider practice core clinical workload.

  • Surgery and telephone consultations and queries.
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Providing counselling and health education.
  • Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
  • Visiting patients at home.
  • Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.
  • Dealing with queries, paperwork, insurance forms and correspondence in a timely fashion.
