The Student Counselling Service (SCS), is excited to share that we are expanding our Mental Health Advisory Service (MHAS) provision.We are therefore looking to appoint one full time Senior Mental Health Advisor to join our expanding Mental Health Advisory Team.

This post is full time and is fullybased in person and on site. This posts hours are 9am - 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and 10:30am - 6:30pm on Tuesdays.

The MHAS team supports students with severe and enduring, complex mental health difficulties. As part of the team, you will work using the recovery model (hope, personal responsibility, education, self-advocacy and support) with students and are responsible for case formulations, care planning, risk assessments, and the subsequent risk reduction and stablisation interventions. You would be working with awareness of the different needs of the student population such as neurodivergent students, international students etc. Senior Mental Health advisors deliver 1-1 and group sessions with students, liaise with internal and external partners and lead on project work when needed.
