The Oxford Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre is the oldest and one of the largest haemophilia centres in the UK and we provide comprehensive haemophilia care to a large number of patients. We also run an award winning DVT diagnostic service within our department and our clinical teams are enthusiastic and innovative in their approach.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work closely with the consultants and junior doctors in the department and will have clinical responsibility for the care of patients with both inherited bleeding and thrombotic conditions. The post holder will take part in the on call rota. The successful candidate will be encouraged to spend up to 1 day a week completing a research project during this post.

In addition, OHTC run many clinical trials in haemophilia and thrombotic conditions and the post-holder would be expected to help co-ordinate and conduct some of the trial activities during their working week. Under supervision, the post-holder will provide clinical management responsibility for the in-house DVT service.
