Job summary

The Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated team player to join the perfusion team. The perfusion department performs 300-400 paediatric bypass cases per year operating on a variety of congenital heart defects.

A complex procedural program with complex Pulmonary Atresia patients providing a large variety of challenging procedures. The department also provides support for the hospital's commissioned ECLS service. We are enthusiastic about personal development, career progression, research and teaching, so paediatric experience is desirable however training will be given. Dependent on your experience, skills and knowledge, this role is offered at a Band 8b. A pro rata Recruitment and Retention Premium (RRP) will be offered for £2500 divided over 12 months and an additional payment of £2500 after your first year.

Main duties of the job

These applicants must be fully accredited and registered with the College of Clinical Perfusionists of GB and Ireland.

The working week is 37.5 hours over 4 days with an essential on-call commitment.
