We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 CAMHS Clinician to join the Neuro-hub of our Wandsworth Single Point of Access (SPA) CAMHS service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated CAMHS clinician (Psychologist, Clinical Nurse Specialist) with a particular interest in working with children and young people presenting with Neurodiversity/ Neurodevelopmental difficulties (ASD/ADHD).

You will be an experienced CAMHS Clinician/practitioner who is registered with a professional body and has relevant experience in working with children and young people who present with mental health / Neurodevelopmental challenges in a CAMHS setting.

The advert is open to HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologists, and to Registered mental health nurses.

At the Wandsworth Access, we process and manage all new referrals for children and adolescents in the Wandsworth borough where there are concerns about emotional/mental health and developmental difficulties.

The CAMHS SPA provide triage and assessment for children, adolescents and their families experiencing a range of mental health, neurodevelopmental and emotional health difficulties. The SPA then directs the referrals to the appropriate CAMHS Team or signpost to alternative routes of support.

The successful candidate would be a key clinician within the CAMHS SPA, triaging referrals, offering mental health assessments, and liaising with multi-agency colleagues as described above.

There will also be opportunity for agile working, including options for home working.


Successful Candidates Must Have


  • experience of working with children and young people in a variety of settings
  • experience of work within a multi-disciplinary team and with multi-agency professionals
  • the ability to relate and provide accessible services to a diverse community.
  • the ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of SPA work, with good organisational, IT and computer recording skills to navigate between the various IT systems within CAMHS and the local authority.
  • knowledge and skills in risk assessment, management, and safeguarding.
  • Experience of supervision is desirable.
  • be able to deliver a range of evidence-based interventions.
