Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Trainee Caretaker to work with Cardiff council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £13.50 per hour for this role.
The Role
To assist with providing a mobile caretaking and cleaning service to the blocks of flats including high-rise blocks and community living complexes within Cardiff. Also, to assist with the cleaning within hostels and other supported housing within the housing services stock.
This will include the reporting of repairs, fly tipping and anti-social behaviour issues daily.
Key Responsibilities
To assist with the delivery of a high-quality mobile cleaning service.
To undertake all duties in line with service area and corporate policies and procedures.
To ensure risk assessments are followed and tasks are carried out and any council vehicle is driven in accordance with the council’s health and safety policy and the relevant procedures.
Report repairs and ensure that if asbestos has been disturbed it is reported to Community Action Supervisor promptly.
To assist with the cleaning and clearance of properties, and communal areas utilising appropriate plant and equipment, as necessary.
Applicant Requirements
- Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 36 hours p/w.
