We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our team at Newham Hospital to lead in the acute assessment of patients admitted into the Emergency Department, as well as our Acute Assessment Unit and our Older Persons Wards. There is much opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills.
You will be part of the Emergency Therapy and Older Persons Service (ETOPS) which covers the Emergency Department, the Acute Assessment Unit and the Older Persons Wards. This is a team of 15 therapists and therapy support workers, who take care of approximately 92 beds within Newham Hospital.
You will play a major and specialist role in the advanced assessment, treatment, clinical management and discharge planning of patients attending the Emergency Department (ED), as well as the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) and the Older Persons Service (OPS) wards in determining clinical diagnosis, functional deficits, treatment programs, pathway management and discharge planning.
