Wandsworth Single Point of Access Team (WSPA) provides a borough-based assessment only service for adults aged 18-74, whereby all referrals are channelled through our team, and directed to receive appropriate care either within the Trust or in Primary care. We work closely with the community recovery and support teams, early intervention, crisis resolution & home treatment teams and the AMHP service. We work in close partnership with GP commissioners and other key partners, including voluntary organisations.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive clinician to join our busy team who is able to demonstrate a high degree of autonomy in assessing patient’s mental health care needs, and who can deliver a caring and safe service in a timely and organized way This is an important role for team functioning and ensuring high quality assessments, discharges and signposting for our service users.

This is a friendly and supportive team. You would work alongside the Consultant Psychiatrist Team manager and other clinicians to ensure governance standards are maintained, and support in daily team functioning, thus ensuring that our key performance indicators and quality improvement are met.


Applicants Must Have


  • Qualifications and registration recognised in the UK
  • Sound risk management practices
  • Good experience of working in mental health
  • Excellent organisational and IT skills
  • Strong personal skills
